About Healing Hands Veterinary Hospital in Carver, MN

Our story begins with the vision of Dr. Carissa Haverly, who dreamed of a place where veterinary care felt safe, inclusive, and empowering for everyone: pets, families, and the people who care for them. Guided by her philosophy, we created Healing Hands Veterinary Hospital as more than a clinic. It is a home for healing, learning, and growth.
We designed every detail with intention. Appointments last 40 minutes, giving us the gift of time to listen closely, answer questions, and provide care that feels personal and unrushed. With separate exam rooms and wards for cats and dogs, visits are calmer and less stressful. Even our choice to move away from a traditional waiting-room model reflects our desire to create a space that feels peaceful from the moment you arrive.
Each service we offer reflects our deep commitment to compassion and science. From wellness and urgent visits to advanced surgery, dentistry, senior support, and end-of-life care, every plan is tailored to honor the unique needs of your pet and the role they play in your family. We believe veterinary medicine should empower you with knowledge while surrounding you with kindness.
As we continue to grow, we hold fast to Dr. Haverly’s founding vision: to provide the highest standards of veterinary medicine in a place where pets and people alike feel truly at home.

The Healing Hands Veterinary Hospital Advantage
Families in Carver and the surrounding communities trust us with their pets because they know our care is both compassionate and deeply thoughtful. Guided by the vision of Dr. Carissa Haverly, we have created a hospital where appointments are never rushed, treatment is always individualized, and every family feels truly seen and supported. Our work is rooted in science, but it is carried out with warmth, respect, and a belief that healing happens best in safe and welcoming spaces. Here is what makes us different:
40-Minute
Appointments
Time is one of the greatest gifts we can offer. With longer visits, we listen deeply, care thoughtfully, and give your pet the attention they deserve.
Drop-Off
Sick Pet Care
Life can be busy, but your pet’s health should never wait. Early drop-off options mean we can start caring for them right away while you tend to your day.
Science-Based,
Individualized Medicine
Every pet has their own story. We design care plans that honor their health, lifestyle, and place in your family, blending compassion with proven science.
Separate Dog and
Cat Spaces
Peace begins with comfort. Dedicated spaces for cats and dogs help create calmer visits and reduce stress for everyone.

Safe and Supportive
Environment
Healing happens where you feel safe. Our hospital is a space for pets, families, and staff to be seen, respected, and cared for together.

Every pet is unique, and their care should be, too. At Healing Hands Veterinary Hospital, we see each visit as more than medicine. It is a chance to nurture health, ease worry, and strengthen the bond you share with your companion. From preventive wellness and nutrition guidance to dentistry, surgery, and urgent care, our approach is always individualized and science-based. With extended appointment times and a supportive environment, we make sure your pet receives the attention and compassion they deserve.

How I Handle The Trauma of Euthanasia

Frequently Asked Questions
Caring for a pet often brings questions, and we want you to feel supported every step of the way. Below are answers to some of the questions we hear most often. If you do not see what you are looking for, please reach out and our team will be glad to help.
Do you offer in-home euthanasia?
No, we do not provide in-home euthanasia. However, we do offer in-clinic euthanasia and have a private comfort room where you can say your goodbye with peace and dignity.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we accept CareCredit for flexible payment options.
Can I get heartworm medication without an appointment?
Please refer to our policy regarding the doctor and patient relationship. In most cases, a current exam and testing are required to prescribe heartworm prevention safely.
I found an injured cat, can you help me?
We partner with the Carver Scott Humane Society to assist with lost or injured pets. We can provide an in-clinic microchip scan and, if you choose to assume financial responsibility, we can treat the animal. If not, we will work with Carver Scott Humane Society to provide appropriate care and rehoming.
How long are your appointments?
Our appointments are scheduled for 40 minutes, giving us plenty of time to listen, answer your questions, and provide thorough, individualized care for your pet.
